Laser Resurfacing
Our skilled technicians will consult with you about your desired outcome and examine your skin type to choose the appropriate treatment method for you. We offer ProFractional laser resurfacing, MicroLaser peel treatments, and Erbium laser resurfacing.
All three methods can help improve the overall look, tone, and texture of your skin, as well as address specific concerns such as acne scarring, stretch marks, sun damage, fine lines, and wrinkles. As a result, your skin will look and feel fresher, younger, and smoother, with a lit-from-within glow.
ProFractional Laser Resurfacing can help to treat:
- Acne scars
- Enlarged pores
- Freckles and brown spots
- Scars
- Stretch marks
- Sun damage
- Uneven skin tone
- Wrinkles and fine lines
This procedure also helps to improve the general condition and the health of the skin, resulting in a more youthful and fresh overall look.
ProFractional Laser Resurfacing
ProFractional Laser Resurfacing is commonly used on delicate areas such as the face, hands, neck, and chest.
What Does the Treatment Involve?
This simple and safe procedure is performed on an outpatient basis. At the beginning of your appointment, your esthetician will apply a numbing cream to the targeted areas to minimize potential discomfort. Once you are numb, a laser is applied to create thousands of microscopic channels in your skin. This stimulates collagen production and enhances your skin’s natural healing process.
The treatment sessions are relatively short lasting from between fifteen minutes to an hour depending on the size of the area being treated. Most patients need one to five sessions to achieve optimal results, with a recommended interval of three to six weeks in-between them.
Recovery Time and Side Effects
Recovery is generally quick, and the side effects are minimal. You are likely to experience some mild redness that looks like a light sunburn. You should be able to return to your normal lifestyle within one to three days after the procedure. If the redness makes you feel uncomfortable, then you can use makeup to cover it up as early as one to two days after the treatment.
Your esthetician will instruct you on how best to protect your skin from the sun for a few days after each session.
MicroLaser Peel Treatments
The MicroLaser Peel is a light to moderate treatment that can be used for:
- Acne scars
- Pigmentation issues
- Precancerous lesions (keratosis)
- Scars
- Sun damage
- Wrinkles and fine lines
The procedure also helps boost skin tone and improve its texture, leaving you with smoother and healthier-looking skin. Commonly treated areas include the face, neck, chest, and hands.
What Does the Treatment Involve?
MicroLaser Peels are performed on an outpatient basis. Again, your esthetician will apply a topical anesthetic before using the laser to remove the uppermost layers of damaged skin. The duration and intensity of the treatment can vary based on your skin type and skin goals . If necessary, you may schedule a follow-up session six to twelve months out.
Recovery Time and Side Effects
Some side effects that you might experience include redness, swelling, and bruising. These effects will be mild compared with other resurfacing methods. You will be provided with an ointment to apply to the treated areas for the first few days after the peel. The redness should start fading on the second day, and you can start wearing makeup within 72 hours after the treatment.
Recovery for this treatment is rapid, typically no longer than two to four days. In fact, the MicroLaser Peel is known as “the weekend peel” since most people can have it done on a Thursday or Friday evening and be back at the office on Monday. You should be able to see a marked improvement in the condition of your skin in just a few days.
Erbium Laser Resurfacing
Target Skin Conditions
For our Erbium Laser Resurfacing treatment, we use one of the most advanced erbium YAG lasers on the market. This procedure can help to both tighten the skin and improve its tone. It also targets a number of conditions, including:
- Age damage
- Brown spots
- Discoloration
- Scars
- Sun damage
- Wrinkles and fine lines
Treated Areas
The procedure can be performed on both the face and body and is safe for most skin types.
What Does the Treatment Involve?
After applying a local anesthetic and nerve blocks, your practitioner will pass the laser over your skin to remove the damaged upper layers while avoiding the surrounding healthy tissue, thus triggering an increased production of collagen and elastin, which, in turn, aids skin recovery and regeneration.
Recovery Time and Side Effects
Patients typically require a single erbium laser treatment in order to achieve optimal results. Potential side effects include scabbing, swelling, and crusting. It is important to keep the skin moist by regularly applying an ointment during the recovery period. Your skin may appear red or pink during the first weeks, but that will fade naturally.
You should be able to resume your normal lifestyle within eight to ten days following your erbium laser session. Makeup can be worn two to three days after the procedure. Also, you must remember to use high-quality sun protection for two to three months after the treatment.
Skin Tightening
If you are looking for a treatment that is less invasive than laser resurfacing but can still greatly improve the overall tone and texture of the skin, then the Skin Tyte Sciton laser may be right for you. This advanced laser system can give you firmer and younger-looking skin on your:
- Face
- Neck
- Chest
- Arms
- Legs
- Abdomen
What Does the Treatment Involve?
The procedure is completely safe and works on all skin types. It uses infrared light to heat the skin and stimulate collagen contraction and remodeling in the treated area. The SkinTyte Sciton® laser system also comes with a sapphire contact cooling technology that protects the skin from overheating.
Recovery Time and Side Effects
The treatment requires no downtime, and you’ll be able to return to work right after. Most patients find that one skin tightening session is enough to see results, the full effect can be seen after several months.
BBL™ Laser Therapy
BBL™ Laser Therapy is a non-invasive photo rejuvenation treatment that is used to improve the overall tone and texture of the skin. It can also help with:
- Acne
- Freckles and brown spots
- Sun damage
- Superficial veins
- Visible signs of aging
- Wrinkles and fine lines
Common target areas include the face, neck, chest, shoulders, and hands.
What Does the Treatment Involve?
The procedure involves using controlled pulses of broadband light on targeted areas. Around 45 minutes prior to the session, your aesthetician will apply a numbing cream to minimize discomfort during the treatment. You will also be provided with specially designed protective eyewear.
During the treatment, you may feel a slight stinging sensation. Some patients describe it as feeling similar to a tiny rubber band being snapped against their skin. A single session typically lasts between twenty and thirty minutes, depending on the area being treated. After the procedure, your esthetician will apply a cooling gel to help calm down any redness and inflammation.
Sessions should be spaced four to eight weeks apart. Depending on your skin type and the size of the treated area, most people need two to five procedures to get their desired results. Some patients, however, may need more.
Recovery Time and Side Effects
Common mild side effects include redness and tenderness that are similar to a light sunburn. These typically recede within 24 to 48 hours after the session. However, if you feel any discomfort, cold compresses, cooling pads, or aloe vera gel should help soothe the skin.
Some patients with sensitive skin may continue to experience redness for three to five days after the session. This is a normal reaction and will resolve on its own.
BBL™ Laser Therapy requires little to no downtime, and most patients can return to their daily lives right after the procedure.
Spider Vein Treatment
Our Sciton® laser spider vein treatment is a gentler and non-invasive alternative to sclerotherapy.
What Does the Treatment Involve?
The procedure can help alleviate spider veins by targeting them with controlled pulses of light. The light is then absorbed by the red blood cells in your veins directly without spreading to the surrounding tissue. The absorbed energy heats up the veins and causes them to tighten and close.
Our Sciton® laser spider vein treatment is pain-free and does not require anesthesia. However, some patients may feel a slight burning, similar to a rubber band being snapped against their skin. The Sciton® laser comes with a cooling plate that helps cool down the skin during and after each light pulse to ensure your comfort.
Recovery Time and Side Effects
This procedure requires no downtime — you should be able to resume your regular activities right after. The most common side effects include mild redness and swelling, but they should fade in a few hours.
HALO Skin Revitalization
HALO Skin Revitalization uses two types of advanced fractional Sciton® lasers that emit both ablative and non-ablative wavelengths. By using the dual action of two lasers, this technology:
- Makes it possible to target multiple areas of concern and skin conditions at the same time
- Reduces the number of treatment sessions required to achieve optimal results, and
- Saves you both time and money
Target Skin Conditions
HALO Skin Revitalization is a latest-generation anti-aging treatment that can refresh the skin’s glow and improve its overall tone and texture. The procedure can also be used to target a variety of skin conditions such as:
- Acne scarring
- Dull skin tone
- Enlarged pores
- Sun damage
- Uneven complexion
- Wrinkles and fine lines
What Does the Treatment Involve?
Prior to your first HALO Skin Revitalization session, your technician will examine your skin and then devise your personal treatment plan based on your conditions, skin type, and desired results.
During the treatment session, your esthetician will use the Sciton® laser to emit both ablative and non-ablative wavelengths. This combined action powerfully stimulates the skin’s natural healing processes. It also boosts collagen and elastin production, resulting in increased skin tone, strength, and elasticity.
Recovery Time and Side Effects
The procedure requires little to no downtime. You should be able to go back home or back to work right after.
Most patients see the first results as early as within a week after the treatment session. As the skin will improve gradually over time, you should see optimal results a few weeks following the procedure. Overall, your skin should be smoother, more radiant, and youthful.
To achieve the best results and protect the health of your skin, you need to stay away from the sun at least a few weeks after your HALO Skin Revitalization session.
